Mrs. Annie Myrtis Black Morriss, 86, passed away on March 13, 2010 at her residence. Visitation will be Monday from 1 PM until service time at 2 PM at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Pearl with interment to follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Morriss was a retired employee of the Clarion Ledger having worked there for 20 years. She was a member of Brandon United Methodist Church and is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Dupree Morriss.
She is survived by her son, Scottie Purvis of Puckett; daughters, Susan Wood (Stan) of Brandon and Judy Bolls (Bill) of Brandon; brothers, W. P. Black of Enid, James Black of Jackson and Charles Black of Grass Valley, CA; sisters, Frances Moore of Brandon and Dorothy Lee of Memphis; grandchildren, Chris Smith, Pamela Adams, Shannon Bowker and Brent Purvis; 4 great grandchildren.
