He was born on May 9, 1941 to the late Bura Bryan Stringer and Emma Myra Blackwell Stringer, a native of Smith County. Milton honorably served our country in the United States Air Force. He was also retired from the United States Postal Service. A member of Antioch Baptist Church in Pearl, he was a firm believer in being generous to others, just as Jesus was. Milton was the kindest and most humble person you could ever know, never wanting to take any credit for his deeds when he felt being considerate of others was simply what you were supposed to do. He worked hard and loved just as hard. Milton treasured his family and in recent years, enjoyed meeting up with them to watch his grandchildren's ballgames together. He also had quite the green thumb and kept an immaculate yard with splendid flowerbeds filled with impressive blooms.
In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Goldie Stringer; six brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Alison Stringer Dennis (Keith); son, Russ Stringer; sister, Ethelene Ainsworth; brother, Buck Stringer; grandchildren, Gunnar Dennis, Griffin Dennis, Brynna Claire Stringer, and Braden Stringer; and many dear friends.
Milton will be so missed by many.
