Mary Frances Kennedy

Fran was born in Thomastown, MS on October 18, 1936 to Mary and P.D. Young. She attended Thomastown High School. Fran married Bill Kennedy in 1954. She worked as a library assistant at Northside Elementary in Pearl and she enjoyed working in the yard and taking care of her family. Fran was a proud member of Paul Truitt Memorial Baptist Church, as well as a huge supporter of Thomastown High and Pearl High School sports.

Fran is survived by her husband, William C. Kennedy, Jr.; sons, Jimmy Kennedy (Patti) and Mark Kennedy (Kahla); daughters, Janet Dutro (Alan) and Regina Kennedy; siblings, Jean Foster (C.P) Mable Ellison, Betty Whitmire, Carolyn Bryant (Cecil), and Rev. James Young (Guin); as well as five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, P.D. and Mary Young, as well as her brother, Lamar Young.

Visitation for Fran will be on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held at Paul Truitt Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10:00 am, with visitation starting at 9:00 am. A graveside service will be held on Thursday following the service at 1:30 pm at Thomastown Baptist Church Cemetery.
