Ms. Smith was born on February 11, 1958 in Jackson, Mississippi. Ms. Smith was an RN at Hinds General Hospital for many years. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed crocheting and was an excellent cook. Ms. Smith was an animal lover and had a cherished dog named Jack. Ms. Smith was strong in her Christian faith and attended Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton.
Ms. Smith is survived by her brother, Wayne Smith (and his wife Zelda) of Meridian, Mississippi; her sister, Karen Smith LaJambe (and her husband Andy) of Snoqualmie, Washington; a niece, Sondra Johnson (and her husband Kevin) of Roanoke, Texas; a nephew, Michael Smith (and his wife Katey) of Marietta, Georgia; a great-niece, Jessica Smith of Marietta, Georgia; and a great-nephew, Breylan Smith of Marietta, Georgia.
Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Sam W. and Jewell Tarver Smith.

Services celebrating the life of Ms. Marilyn Smith will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl with visitation one hour prior to the service. The graveside service will be held at 1:30pm that same day at Clear Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.
