He was born at home on September 21, 1925, a son of the late Lamar F. Noble, Sr. and Edith Patrick Noble of Jackson.
On his 18th birthday Lamar enlisted with the U.S. Navy where he served as a Morse code operator. While serving our country he spent his deployment aboard the USS Malanao in the South Pacific and was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Ribbon, the American Area Campaign Ribbon, and the Victory Ribbon.
Following his military service he returned to Mississippi to continue his education and attended the University of Mississippi and business school. Lamar then joined his family business, Brooks-Noble Auto Parts, where he worked until his retirement.
While working at Brooks-Noble he met his sweetheart and true love of his life, Lollie Ree Lee. Lamar and Lollie Ree enjoyed 61 blessed years of marriage before she was called home to Heaven in 2018.
Three daughters were born from this union, Leslie, Lynn and Louanne. Lamar was a devoted husband and father and was dedicated to caring and providing for his family. Very family oriented he worked six days a week to supply their needs and afford them all of the comforts that he could.
This commitment to family continued throughout Lamar’s life. Following his retirement he became the official “taxi service” of his grandchildren. He delighted in taking them to sports practice and school events and assisting his daughters in this manner.
Lamar and his family were long-time members of Capitol Street United Methodist Church and Epworth United Methodist Church. In his free time he enjoyed watching Ole Miss sports, particularly football, and playing golf. Often his neighbors would check to make sure Lamar was keeping his weekly scheduled golf day.
In addition to his wife and parents, Lamar was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Noble, and son-in-law, Todd Chandler.
Survivors include his daughters, Leslie Noble Lindsay and husband Bud, and Louanne Noble Chandler; grandchildren, Dylan Lindsay and wife Emily, Kelly Chandler Bell and husband Sandon, Chase Lindsay and wife Kayla, Carter Lindsay, and Ross Chandler and wife Emily; great-grandchildren, Easton Lindsay, Hayes Lindsay, Wrigley Bell, Barkley Chandler, Rhys Lindsay, Knox Lindsay, and Lollie Ree Bell.
