With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Madelyn Bonet Texidor on December 19, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on April 14, 1947, in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Madelyn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She dedicated her life to nurturing others, sharing her kindness and warmth with all who knew her.
Madelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Manuel Texidor, in 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Lymarie Texidor-Garcia, and husband, Leonardo Garcia, along with their daughter, Daniela Garcia-Texidor; and by her son, Manuel Texidor Jr., and wife, Kimberly Texidor, along with their children, Olivia, Isaac, and Aaron Texidor.
In her later years, Madelyn found joy in caring for infants as a daycare baby rocker. Known lovingly as “the Baby Whisperer,” she had an extraordinary gift for calming and comforting little ones. Her dedication and care spanned generations, as she was blessed to see the children of those she once cared for as babies return with their own.
Madelyn’s life was a shining example of a Christ-like woman, marked by love, grace, humility, and selflessness. Her faith guided her every action, and she was a beacon of hope and kindness to everyone around her.
Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. A celebration of Madelyn’s life will be announced at a later date.
Rest peacefully, Madelyn Bonet Texidor. Your love, faith, and gentle spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
