Dear Colleen , Victor and Family I'm so sorry  to hear about the loss of your Mom. She was an unbelievable lady. Love Madeline Opper and Jack.

Dear Pat and family, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss.  I am  glad that you and your brothers and sisters were all down there with her, and that you all shared such a special Thansgiving with her the week before.  Your Mom was an incredible, one-of-a-kind woman who i always enjoyed, admired and loved.  She and your dad made us all feel like part of the family.  Her warmth, kindness, sense of humor and love of life live on in you and in  your siblings.  She will never be far from you.  I know she rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord, and pray for you and your extended family to find comfort and peace in the memories of good times shared.  Blessings and love to you all!

Laura just called me with the news.  We have such wonderful memories growing up in the early years across from each other - the Randalls and the Long-Carrolls. We took over the neighborhood!  Jane was such a hoot and I always think of her with that infectious smile and a look on her face that she was cooking up something.  I hope the love and support of all who loved her will help you through this difficult time.  Hugs to all!

I am terribly saddened to hear that your mom passed on... I can't imagine what a loss it must be for all of you. I am so happy for her that you all could be with her, and I can only imagine the effort you made for her in these months. She was such a wonderful person, and as we have spoken of always treated me so kindly. I don't think I have ever seen a mother love her children more, nor seen children who loved there mother more. I'm sorry I didn't get down there that weekend. My mom has been ill too. I've been going back every few weeks and that was one of those weekends. I will always appreciate the last and only email she sent me.... Hopefully she got the one I sent her back. As for you, you should always feel proud and assured of how much you cared for her and loved her. I don't think a mother could ask for a better son than you...  and she always new that completely. I send my prayers to you all. I'll see if I can get up there.  Love John

Knowing Jane all of her 82 years I am so sorry. We grew up together but didn't see each other in later years.i remember going to Uncle Buz on Neptune Ave.I see Jim looks like him. I will never forget the twins. I will be thinking of you the day of the funeral. Love to you all .  Verna 2nd cousin

The Carol's were always welcoming to all of Ed's crazy friends, me being one of them... Typical of large families found in New Canaan those days, the house was a hive of activity. Though it's been a very long time since I was able to see Jane, I certainly remember her warmth, humor and welcoming smile. My condolences to the family, my thoughts are with you all... My heartfelt sympathy goes to all of you. Jane has been a special friend since our Rowayton days. We shared many memories both fun and tragic. I watched the children grow up to be loving and respectful. Kevin and Jane flew to California in January 1990 to witness my 2nd marriage to Bill. They are both in our wedding video which I will always cherish. We had so much fun! I miss you Jane and your fantastic wit and look forward to continue our good times in Heaven
