Mr. George Robert Burgoyne, 78, of Peachtree City, Georgia, passed away December 25, 2020. He was born February 22, 1942 in Jaffrey, New Hampshire to the late Joseph Alfred Burgoyne and the late Madeline Josephine Burgoyne. Mr. Burgoyne served in the United States Air Force for 6 years. He retired from Motorola Communications after 27 years of faithful service. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joey Burgoyne, Lenny Burgoyne, and Raymond Burgoyne.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed fly fishing and being out in nature.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Ann Burgoyne, son, Jade Burgoyne, daughters, Rene Wallace and her husband, Vic, and Cathy Neville; grandchildren, Nicole Ellington, Lauren Womack, Ellis Burgoyne, and Lucy Burgoyne; great grandchildren, Jacob Gable, Jackson Huey, Laci Neville, Braelynn, Grayson, Lillie, and Garrett Womack; sister, Alice Chicione; along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services with military honors will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, GA with Rev. Kenneth Brown officiating.
