On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, Anthony James Piraino, of Sharpsburg, GA, passed away at the age of 71. Tony was born to Vincent and Virginia Piraino on March 14, 1951. He was a brother to six siblings, a cousin and uncle to many. At an early age he began to acquire lifelong friends through his love of school, sports, and music.
Though Tony had gained accolades through sports both individual and as a team member, his greatest joy was his family. His wife, Lorraine, was his life partner in faith, family, and friendships. Tony was extremely proud of his three children and their families: his eldest daughter, Anna and husband, Owen, and their children Henry and Layla; son, John, and his wife, Adjani, and their son, Jonsey; Tony’s youngest daughter, Katie, and her son, Micah. Micah, Tony’s oldest grandchild and sidekick, spent a lot of time with Tony enjoying sports, movies, music, and long talks.
Tony finished life well with his love of God, family, and his many friends. He cherished his family along with his childhood friends and the friends more recently made because he loved people.
A celebration of life service for Anthony will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory, 135 Senoia Rd, Peachtree City, Georgia 30269.
