Anne was the eldest of three children in her family. As a young lady, she developed a love for children and took care of the youngsters of family and friends. She also channeled this passion into many work and volunteer opportunities educating children through assisting in classrooms, teaching Sunday school, directing and implementing preschool programs, and leading extracurricular organizations.
She met Dennis during a trip to visit her aunt and uncle in Alberta, Canada. A year later they married and she made the move to Canada, sacrificing her beloved blue Volkswagen Beetle. However, she had found the “Sony to her Cher”.
Anne had a variety of jobs, but her love was being MOM. She devoted her life to raising five wonderful children. She knew that successful children were developed by learning through creative play and exploration. She assured that they were well rounded through artistic and athletic experiences.
All five have benefitted from this nurture by flourishing in college and achieving career success. But significantly, each child used her inspiration to grow and develop their own children for the same pathway of success.
Anne sacrificed lifestyle and personal ambitions every day to take care of the needs and prioritize aspirations of each child and grandchild. She was a “second mom” to more people than just those who called her mom. Eager to be involved, she could always be found working with the schools, dance studios, athletic programs, and fulfilling church needs. She was an expert at sewing, crafting, and creating. These gifts could be seen in her creation of dance outfits, Halloween costumes, school projects, themed birthday parties, and memorable holidays. She could make, fix, or do anything!
She was a devoted Christian. The way she lived, and loved others is a true testament to her faith and love for Jesus.
