Michael Fleming Wray, 66, of Payette, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at his home in Payette. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, June 19th at Riverside Cemetery, Payette with Pastor Rod Tegethoff officiating. He was born October 18, 1948 in Scottsbluff NE to Thomas Aaron Wray and Dolores Jean (Ruff) Wray. He lived his youngest years in Scottsbluff NE and Torrington WY. The family later moved to Baker OR where Mike graduated from Baker High School in 1967. He served in Vietnam from April 1968 to November 1969. In the late seventies the family moved to Payette ID. Mike worked various jobs, but a favorite was working on the survey crews for the Forest Service. He enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing and camping with his parents. He also enjoyed all Louis L’Amour novels and western themed movies. His later years were spent being full-time caretaker to his mother.
Mike is survived by a nephew Paul (Tracy) McKenna, a niece Laura (Jeff) Lacy and their children Jay and Carmen, a brother-in-law Mike McKenna, a cousin Pam Graham, friend Kaleb Palmbach and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Judy and friend Myron Foiles.
