Jean Treiber

Pearl Jean (Reynolds) Treiber, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones at her home in Pataskala, Ohio. She was born on June 22, 1931 in Hendrysburg, Ohio to Robert and Ruth Reynolds.

Jean received her degree as a Registered Nurse from Ohio Valley General, Wheeling, West Virginia. She worked tirelessly for 40 years caring for others.

Jean’s priority has always been family. She met her husband Don through a mutual friend in nursing school and they were married for 70 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter Pam, brothers Ted (Beverly) and Lee (Patty) Reynolds, parents, Robert and Ruth Reynolds. Surviving family includes son, Bruce (Lisa) Treiber, grandchildren, Brian (Erin), Abby, Drew, Colin, and Nathan (Rachel), great grandchild Olivia, son-in-law Mark Evans, sister Martha Reynolds and husband Don.

Jean has always loved working with her hands. Her aptitude for fiber arts; namely crochet and embroidery, were passed on through generations. Jean was also a wonderful cook, and gardener so much so that in her final days she would think about her geraniums and wished for more time to teach her loved ones how to cook. Jean was a treasure on Earth, and will always be a treasure in our hearts. We miss her desperately.

Visitation will be held from 11-noon., Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Pataskala, OH 43062, where a funeral service will begin at noon. Burial will be immediately following at Pataskala Cemetery, Pataskala, OH. And our grateful thanks to Summit Hospice, specifically Mike, Lindsay and Ari. Their care and assistance were invaluable to Jean and her family.
