James "Jim" Earl Streets

James “Jim” Earl Streets, 84, of Etna, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on June 13, 1940 in Blacklick, Ohio to the late Maynard M. and Ruth L. Streets. Jim grew up in Gahanna, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Sue Ann (Hart) Streets on August 22, 1962. Jim better known by his coworkers as “Hammer Man” retired from Peerless Saw Company after 49 hardworking years as a saw smith. In his free time Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors; tending to his garden and flowers, mowing the lawn, and watching the deer and ducks. But most of all, Jim loved spending his time with his family, especially during the holidays. He was a longtime and faithful member of Pataskala Nazarene Church. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sue A. Streets; children, John R. (Julie) Streets, James “Allen” (Debbie) Streets, and Jeff L. (April) Streets; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; special bonus child, Kristin Drosos; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer S. (Streets) Drake. Family and friends may gather from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. A memorial service is to follow at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at the funeral home, with Pastor Gary Reiss officiating.
