It is hard to find the words that would adequately express my deepest sympathy and condolences to Tom and all of Barb’s family.  A lady with a big heart and compassion for life, family and friends.  You have all been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue.  May peace be with you.  RIP Barb in our Fathers home.  

I have known Barb my whole life. She was my teacher, friend and we worked together on the alumni association. Barb touched so many lives and will be missed by many. RIP Barb

Grieving the untimely loss of a dear childhood friend, Barbara Blair Triplett. So many fun memories of her and her wonderful mother, Opal, who was one of my mother's best friends. While our ways parted some 60 years ago, Barb stayed in our community, after attending Rio Grande college and ultimately earning a Masters degree in education, which she put it to good use in our rural hometown community of Pataskala.
My heart goes out to her family, her devoted companion of many, many years, Tom Hendren and the entire Pataskala, Ohio community. It was always wonderful to touch base with her during my visits home (more recently through social media) and almost immediately feel young and giggly while strolling down memory lane. RIP my dear, dear friend. You will definitely be missed -- gone, indeed, much too soon.

I’ve known Barb my whole life, and She’s been a wonderful part of my life! My heart grieves for her family and friends. She’s been a big part of many people and will be missed terribly. When we meet again, we’ll embrace and our hearts will be full of joy! God’s speed Barb! Until we meet again!

What a beautiful and tender remembrance of Barb at the church Barb spent her whole life in.     This dear person will be missed and we look forward to seeing her once again!  This photo was Barb's idea as she wanted to celebrate  her and Tom's 77th Birthday in Las Vegas........  As usual such fun!!!

Mrs Triplett  was my language arts teacher, Cheerleading coach and a dear friend.  she was always there to support my family at times we needed it the most. She grew up and attended school with my father and his siblings.  I will miss her smile and tenderness most of all. RIP Barb. you was the best influence on all of us students from Licking Heights and left behind a legacy that will forever be unmatched by anyone.

Barb and I became  friends freshmen in high school through band.  Our friendship grew when her parents asked me to go to Canada each summer with them so barb would have someone to hang out with while they were fishing.  Barb was my maid-of-honor at my wedding. I am so thankful to have her in my life especially the last several years with all our class get togethers. Bless your family. She will be missed by all who knew her. 

I did not have Barbara as a teacher in the 6th grade but my husband, Darrell, did.  I do know that she was a wonderful teacher and person!   Her brother was a dear friend of my father Kelly Starr and Barbara always greeted me with warmth and friendship.  She will be missed by all those at Licking Heights School and Summit Station, Ohio.  May the perpetual light shine upon her!

Pat and I will forever remember our travels together with Barb and Tom.  Pat especially recalls the “classy” concert the two of you attended in Vienna while the rest of us hit the winery! Thanks for the cherished memories Barb,

We are devastated at learning of Barbara's passing.  You have our sincere sympathy, Tom and Barbara's sons.  
As young children, my sister Dorothy and I spent many hours playing together with Barbara as neighborhood friends. We all followed first through 12th grades at Licking-Heights. 
Every one in our community was proud of Barbara's many accomplishments. We love her and she was taken from every one

I will always remember Barb's smile,  kindness and zest for life.  I feel  honored to have known her.  I am so sorry for your loss.  She was such a wonderful person.  All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.  

To all the families of Barbara and to Tom my deepest sympathy in the  loss of your loved one.  It is hard for me to comprehend.  I have known Barb and Tom since living at the Greens in Bonita Springs and have always had the greatest admiration for them.  She was always available to talk to and to assist in any way she could.  Her guidance and love for everyone was so real. Such a beautiful woman loved by so many.  She will never be forgotten.


Barb was the best of the best.  I count my blessings meeting her and Tom.  So many good times were had after council meetings, on cruises, visiting them in Florida, etc.  My heart goes out to Tom and all the family.  She will be greatly missed. 

Mrs. Triplett was one of my teachers and one of our neighbors. I used to ride my horse to her house and visit with her.  She was one of the most poised and kind people I have ever met. She cared for everyone especially her students. I know I never forgot her and never will. Godspeed Mrs. Triplett. 

I am fortunate to have known Barb in so many ways.. . as a fellow teacher, community leader, historian, and above all,  friend.  She was a loving, caring, committed, hard-working human being wherever she was.  My sympathy to Tom and her entire family all of whom she dearly loved.  The world has lost a great citizen.    

I was in Barbara's first teaching class at Licking Heights.  She was a great teacher and a breath of fresh air  at the school. She was fun and went out  of her way to make  me feel special on many occasions. Some I still have in  a scrapbook.  That was fifty years ago.  I share the grief with the thousands of people whose lives she touched. I keep her family in my prayers and thoughts as you cope with this terrible tragedy.  God will be with you.

I first met Barb as a scared student transferring from Johnstown schools to the Licking Heights district.  She was very welcoming and became one of my favorite teachers.  Fast forward many years and as a young teacher in the Licking Heights district Barb became my principal and mentor I worked under her leadership for many years. She was a great leader and our staff excelled under her guidance.  As Barb left the district we always managed to keep in contact.  The world is a better place because of her caring, loving, fun spirit.  Sending up prayers for Gods love and peace surrounding her friends and family. She will be missed greatly.  

Forty years ago this fall, I began a 6-year gig teaching at LHMS/Summit ES.  I got to know Barb as she provided wisdom and support, along with so many other incredible people. It was a teaching staff like no other, under the direction of Nelson McCray. We had fun and we taught hard!  I remember that group of teachers like it was just yesterday. In 1985, Barb moved over to be the principal at Summit, and I followed to teach first grade. My best year of teaching ever!!  She was one amazing friend, colleague, and leader. Thank you, Barb, for all you did to help me be a better person and educator. 

Oh my, I  went to Rio Grande College where she and I first met.  Best friends almost instantly.  I stayed with she and her family my first year of teaching at Licking Heights.    What wonderful, fun times we had.  We have remained close all this time.  She sent me my special birthday wish at 1:30 that day, May 19th.  Couldn’t believe it when my dear Becky called to give me the terrible news.  My heart breaks and goes out to all.    Tom,  you both shared some fabulous  times.  She was so happy. We had the pleasure of living next door to Barb and Tom for many, many years. They were great neighbors and Barb was such a kind, thoughtful, wonderful person. We will miss her greatly. 

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tom and the family during this difficult time. 

Barb was such a wonderful woman. John and I are so grateful to have known her and shared many good memories on cruises... playing cards... dinners.  We are so very saddened by your loss and will remember her and all the laughter she brought over the years.  We are always here for you.  Love... the Starr’s.

We simply do not have words to express our love for Barb and the prayers we are sending for your peace.  Barb was a friend in every way from our professional, travel, and  personal relationship.  We never (not once) spoke with Barb that we didn’t have a conversation about her boys, her grandchildren, her daughter-in-law s, Tom’s children, and certainly Tommy.  She was so so thrilled with her new home and enjoyed life like few do.  We loved you dearly and will miss you dear friend.
