Barbara Jean Triplett, 78 of Johnstown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. She was born on November 5, 9142 in Columbus, OH, a daughter to the late Edward and Opal (Cheney) Blair. Barbara is survived by her children, Mike (Cortney) and Tim (Myra); grandchildren, Kirsten (Colton) Rosshirt, Alyssa (Chuck Aitken), Adalynn, Timothy Jr., Noah (Korynn), Reagan, Lydia, Sarah, Caleb and Micah; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Hadley and Kameron: loving companion, Tom Hendren and Cousin John Cheney. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Gene Blair. She worked for 33 years as a teacher and principal at Licking Heights Schools, and worked for Southwest Licking Schools (Watkins) as the curriculum director and summer school administrator for 13 years. Barbara was a devoted member to the Summit Station United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Lions Club, City Council for 14 years, and was involved in countless groups and committees within the community. She devoted her life to serving her community. Barbara enjoyed traveling, spending time in Florida, reading, watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and attending her grandkids sporting events. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Summit Station United Methodist, 6626 Summit Rd. SW, Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church with Pastor Marie Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
