She is survived by; daughter Rebecca Wigal; daughter Sara Miller (Jeff Miller); son Jeff Johnson (Susan Johnson); and daughter Amy Hawley (Marlin Hawley); sister Mary Lou Tolbert (John Tolbert); nine grandchildren and one great-grand child.
Barbara was preceded in death by; brother Richard Frazier, sister Elizabeth Frazier and grandson Leo Johnson.
After surviving a childhood illness, she graduated from Woodbine High School in Iowa. She started her career at Union Pacific in Omaha, Nebraska. Barbara was married in 1958 to Neubert Johnson (divorced 1988). They lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa where they raised their four children. Once the children were all in school, she continued her career at Cogley Physicians Clinic until the family moved to Westerville, Ohio in 1979.
In Ohio, Barbara worked at Porter & Peck Appraisers for 25 years making life long friendships. After retirement, she relished her time with her grandchildren, watched her favorite t.v. shows, enjoyed The Arts around Columbus, Ohio, completed daily word puzzles and was an avid reader. Barbara also loved to travel creating memories in Wisconsin, Michigan, Texas, Alaska, New York City and Europe.
She was a member of Stonybrook United Methodist Church where she attended bible study, helped in the office and nursery, baked cookies for the Kairos Ministry, was a member of the "posse", participated in Tai chi and enjoyed the many musical offerings.
Barbara lived a full life achieving her final two goals of celebrating her 80th birthday and becoming a great grandmother. Her legacy will live on in her family through her love, compassion, guidance, sense of humor and good eats.
