Anessa Lennington, age 55, passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories after succumbing to a brief battle with cancer. A proud graduate of Watkins Memorial high school, Anessa continued her education at the Ohio State University, where her passion for learning flourished.
Anessa was married to her high school sweetheart, Jim Lennington, in a memorable group wedding during a Cincinnati Reds baseball game, a testament to their fun-loving spirit. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and deep devotion.
Anessa was a devoted aunt to her niece, Dakota Kazee, and nephew, Dillon Kazee. She was predeceased by her beloved mother Doris (Rice) Kazee, father Haskel Kazee, and her brother Andy Kazee. She is also survived by her husband, Jim Lennington, her in-laws, Nikki (Tony) Gerst, her niece Bella Gerst, her nephew Nic Gerst, as well her dogs Buster, Max, and Domino and many beloved friends.
A passionate fan of the Cleveland Guardians, Anessa found joy in watching the game and sharing her enthusiasm with friends and family. She loved movies and cherished time spent at Indian Lake, where she enjoyed boating, swimming, and cozy campfires with her Orchard Island friends.
Anessa’s warmth and vivacious spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She worked at Discover Card for 35 years, where her kindness and dedication made a lasting impact on her colleagues and clients alike.
Visitation will be held at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home in Pataskala Ohio on November 15th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by a service from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial and a graveside service will take place at Walnut Hill Cemetery in New Hampshire, Ohio, at 11:00 AM on November 16th.
