Wanda Faye Shannon

Wanda Faye Shannon passed away on January 23, 2015 in Washington, TX at the age of 74. She was born in Pasadena, TX on March 6, 1940 to the union of Alvin Boyd and Julia Savannah Bass Boyd. Wanda graduated from Pasadena High School in 1958, and married her adoring husband Raydell in June of 1967. She continued to live in Pasadena and raised her family there. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and loved caring for all types of animals. Later in life, Wanda moved to Washington, TX where in recent years she became a member of Friedens Church. She will be deeply missed and her memory cherished. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Sonny and Bonnie Boyd; mother and father-in-law, Merle Shannon and N. L. Shannon; and her loving niece Dorrie Boyd. She is survived by her husband Raydell Shannon; daughter, Tina Acton and husband Tuffy Acton; son, Jack DeLozier and Gloria; grandchildren, Misty Acton, Krystle Acton and Tim Homeyer; great grandchildren, Lynden Acton, and Jackie DeLozier, III; brothers, Larry Boyd and Alice, Buzzy Boyd and Mary; as well as many extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in the chapel of Grand View Funeral home with burial to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
