Wanda Merle Gibson Byus passed away on April 3, 2011 in Pasadena, TX at the age of 85. She was born on October 4, 1925 in Trent, TX to Byron and Opal Dingle. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 31 years, David Gibson; husband of 5 years, Grant Byus; son, David Lloyd Gibson; and brother Don Dingle. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Gibson and wife Marialice; daughter, Debbie McGlothlin and husband Rodney; grandchildren, Michael Gibson, Jon Gibson, Tim Gibson, Amy Torres, Eric Gibson, Andy Mc Glothlin, and Todd McGlothlin; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Jeannine Parker and husband Guinn; and sister-in-law, Patsy Dingle. Wanda is a long time resident of Pasadena. She retired from the position of Vice President at Southmore Savings Association. Wanda loved gardening, especially her roses, travelling, and has enjoyed her weekly Bridge card game with friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery.
