Shirley Faye Old

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 60 years John Old Jr., her sister Jewitt Montgomery and husband Ivas of Baytown Texas and her brother Clifton Smith of Baytown Texas.

Shirley enjoyed caring for and raising her children. She is survived by her four children: Donald Old of Deer Park Texas, Terry Old and wife Peggy of Deer Park Texas, Andy Old of Deer Park Texas, and Tami Old-Alberty of Pasadena Texas whom she loved dearly.

Shirley gave so much of herself to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she cherished every minute with them. She is survived by her grandchildren: Stephanie Old, Jared Old and wife Becca, Jonathan Old and wife Michelle, William Old and fiancé Marie Taccino, Patrick Old and fiancé Roxi Armstrong, Kendall Alberty, and Landon Alberty. She also had three great grandchildren: Kaitlynn Longnecker, Ryan Sylvia, and Sophia Old. She is also survived by a large extended family and many friends.

She loved children and worked a few years in childcare, and at a school cafeteria. Later on, John and Shirley owned a hobby shop where they enjoyed working together. They both found enormous joy in the outdoors and they actively went camping with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They created many memories that the following generations will forever cherish.

Shirley was a very active member of Deer Park United Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the church events as well as greeting on Sundays. Her grandchildren and great grand children have fond memories of spending time with her at the pumpkin patch event.
