Rosa Vivian Womack

Rosa Vivian Womack passed away on March 19, 2011 in Pasadena, TX at the age of 79. She was born on May 29, 1931 in Prince Edward County, VA to the union of Arthur Daniel Walne and Gertrude Hazelgrove-Walne. Rosa grew up in Virginia and came to Texas in 1952. She married Hollis A. Womack in 1954, they made their home in Wharton, Texas until his death in 1986. She then moved to Pasadena and became a member of First Baptist Church Pasadena where she was a Care Group Leader in her Sunday School Class. She adored her church family and was loved by all. Rosa was a great cook and an immaculate house keeper. She enjoyed listening to country music, especially fiddle music, and loved to shop, specifically on Black Friday. Rosa is preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Hollis A. Womack; and sister, Barbara Jean Pape. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and David Tucker; granddaughter, Christy Lynn Tucker; sister, Effie Bondurant; brother, Arthur Lee Walne.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Grand View Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Pasadena. Interment will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wharton, TX.
