Mark was born on July 4, 1963, in Houston, Texas, to Earl and Mary (Salveda) Johnson. He was raised in Humble, Texas and was a 1981 graduate of Humble High School.
In the 1980’s Mark married Brenda Sue Mott and they had three children, Jennifer, Victoria, and Joshua. They decided to part ways in 2004 but remain friends.
Mark met Mary Jo (Thuringer) Novy in 2008 and they were married on March 26, 2011. Mary brought into their marriage three adult children, Shannon, Rebecca and Chad. Between then they had ten grandchildren, Kolten, Ryder, Sylas, Autumn, Harrison, Anders, Lilliam, Foster, Soren, and Kyle.
Mark worked for over 4 years mainly at Dril-Quip Corp, in Houston. He then began work at Flowserve Corp, in Pasadena, Texas until the time of his passing. He made many friends at both workplaces. He loved fishing as a hobby. His favorite place to go fishing was Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston. He also loved baseball and was an avid fan of the L.A. Dodgers and the Houston Astros.
A celebration of life for Mark will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM.
