I am so sorry, I didn't even know. I do know she will always be in your hearts and memories.

My sincere condolences on your loss.  I wish you God's speed in your healing process.  Our memories are our most precious possessions as they allow us to keep our loved ones in our hearts for all time.

Faye was a very special person,to all that knew her,and always made you feel welcome in her home.She and my Mother were close friends,and next door neighbors for many years.When we moved they didn't see each other often,but our family thought of the good times often.She was a great friend,and she will be missed by many that had the honor of knowing her and her family.I love the pictures.May you all find comfort in knowing that she is with Bob again and all of the loved ones that went before her,and most of all,that we shall all meet again someday.I love you all,and my heart aches for the loss you feel.Unfortunately only time helps a little after awhile.You are all in mine and my Mothers prayers.My Mother is really upset,she really cared for Faye and all of you kids.........Love Always

We all have regrets in life. We all have things we wish we could do over, do again, not do at all. We all have things we will miss...& those things are usually associated with the fondest memories we also all have some of. Mamaw calling people 'Shoog' was mentioned at her funeral. I think all of us grandkids were 'Shoog' most of the time. Her telling people to 'hurry back' was also mentioned. It made me think of a funny memory. I stopped by Mamaw's house years ago with a friend while on our way to Astroworld. We visited a while & on our way out, she said 'Ya'll hurry back' & as usual, I said 'We will'. To us, it was just one of those things that was always done. To my friend tho, who took it literally, it caused concern. He said 'She DOES know we're not coming right back, doesn't she?' I had to explain that she meant you were welcome to come back as soon as you could, not that you had to come right back. As a kid, Mamaw's house felt as much like home as my own home did. There was always something on the stove or a cake on the counter..or an offer to fix something if those things weren't what you wanted. There was a hug at the ready & always a wish that you'd 'Hurry back' :)

We have many, many fond and happy memories of our "second" mother. One memory of mine(Nancy) is she could't wait for my first baby to be born. I thought she was excited to be an aunt.She gave me (with the doctor's permission) a dose of castor oil with orange juice UGH! Come to find out she just wanted to have been married longer than me when she had her first baby. She beat me by 3 days.  Thomas (Jr) remembers when he was little how she came to his rescue when he had figured out a way to get a baseball glove his Dad said they couldn't afford. To make a long story short, Faye and Bob ended buying him the glove and saved him from getting onto trouble with his Dad. When we think of one word to describe Faye and what she was it is LOVE. That's what she showed to everyone.

I have memories of Aunt Faye.  She was smiling, happy, and gentle.  I took a bath once in that excellent clawfoot bathtub.  I used Palmolive soap.  It had such a good, clean smell.
 The floor was the old wooden floor as existed in so many homes around the 50' and 60's.  I have no idea how old the home was, but will, for some reason, never forget that bath and that soap.  Perhaps it was because I had NEVER SEEN a clawfoot tub, as my daddy moved us "out west" to the big city of San Angelo, Texas, where we had a built-in tub!  Wow. I remember my sweet cousin, Pam, and know that our family was distanced by miles.  I am proud to say my mother's maiden name was Walsh.  Very strong women came from that family.
