Lorena Pearl Centers, 86, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on October 7, 2024. She was born on June 19, 1938, in Tularosa, New Mexico, to Floyd and Valeria Daulton. Lorena, known to many as "Rena," was married to William "Buck" Centers for 59 wonderful years.
Rena spent several years working for Friendswood ISD and had a deep passion for gardening, sewing, and, most of all, her family. She came out of retirement to work as a caregiver for elderly clients, a role she truly enjoyed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Valeria Hughey, her beloved husband Buck Centers, and her daughter Jeanie Peterman.
Rena is survived by her sons, William Centers Jr. and Marshall Centers, as well as her daughter-in-law Jessica Vargas. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Billie Jo (Hayley) Centers, Darla Boyte, David Agnew, Brandon Centers, Bailey (Michael) Warren, Taylor Centers, and Dylan Metreyeon. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Katie Boyte, Tristan Boyte, Natalee Agnew, Brandon Warren, Aria Templeton, Christopher Templeton, Dean Templeton, and Baylen Warren.
Lorena's warmth, dedication to her family, and love for the simple joys in life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
