Leona Mae Wills

Leona (Lea) Mae Wills was born on June 4, 1932 in Delcambre, Louisiana and spent her early years in New Iberia, Louisiana. As a teen she moved to Nederland, Texas where she later met her future husband, Jess Wills. After marriage they moved to Houston, Texas where they raised their three children. She is preceded in death by her parents Desas and Regina (Bourke) Segura, her husband of 50 years, and her 2 siblings Elva and her husband Warren Hawkins, Peewee and his wife Irene Segura and numerous aunts and uncles from New Iberia.

She is survived by her children Sharon and husband, Gary Cofran, of Houston, TX, John and wife, Kelly Wills, of McKinney, TX and Joanie and husband, Mike Tindall, of Grapeland, TX. She had 5 Grandchildren who she thought the world of: Justin and his wife, Jordan Wills, of Houston, TX, Jordan and her husband, Michael Ashby, of Houston, TX, Benjamin and wife, Shelly Tindall, of Tumwater, WA, Alex and his wife, Katie Tindall, of Boston, MA, and Nathan and his wife, Nicole Tindall, of Denver, CO. She was also blessed by 9 Great Grands. She was known as Mamaw to Adlie, Emerson and Ed Ashby, and known as Memaw to Caleb, Ethan and Shiloh Tindall.

She was known as SharShar’s Momma to Bryce Shanklin, Bella and Ava Cofran. She is also survived by very special sisters in laws and by many nieces, nephews and friends who she loved greatly. Lea loved to help people. She volunteered for many years at Memorial Hermann SE Hospital and at Sagemont Church as a greeter. When she wasn't able to do that anymore she did other volunteer work at her place of residence at Brookdale Senior Living. She loved her Jesus and His Word. They were always a comfort to her.

Visitation will be Friday, May 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Sagemont Church and funeral will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Forest Park East.
