Joe Dowl Moffitt

Joe Dowl Moffitt, age 96, passed from a life of service to God, country and his fellow man, into the arms of Jesus on Sunday morning, February 19, 2023. J.D. was born on October 11, 1926 in Crockett, Texas to Montza and Winnie Mae Moffitt. He was preceded in death by wife Mary, of 50 years, son-in-law Tommy Ewell, sister Nell Parrish, her husband James and son Donnie, brother-in-law Doug Williams and LesLee Russell, daughter of Betty. J.D. is survived by daughters Debbie Sladecek and husband Rudy, Renee' Ewell, brother Walter E. Moffitt and wife Virgina, sister Carol Ann Williams, Betty's daughter Lisa Sydek and husband Mark, Betty's son Todd DuPont and wife Janet. Also grandchildren Misty and husband Michael Bonham II, Christy and husband Jarad Ham, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one expected great great.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00PM at First Baptist Pasadena located at 7500 Fairmont Pkwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park Saturday, February 25 at 11:00AM located at 1601 North 4th Street Crockett, Texas 75835.
