James Arnold Morgan Jr.

James married the love of his life Sylvia Ann Stewart, at the young age of nineteen years old. They spent the next sixty-nine years and eleven months together. They raised five amazing children. He was so proud of each one of them and their accomplishments and would often brag on how great his children were.

James started his career with Southern Pacific Railroad as a surveyor and draftsman. He later worked in the petrochemical field as a design draftsman and as a Computer Aided Design checker for various petrochemical companies. James was a member of Good Sam RV club and Escapees RV organization for almost thirty years. He had a passion for woodworking and technology. James enjoyed traveling all over the United States with Sylvia in the RV. Above all, he found his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

James was preceded in death by his parents; his son Mike; his brother Charles; and his daughter-in-law Kathleen Pyne Morgan. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his beloved wife Sylvia Stewart Morgan of Livingston; his brother Ray Morgan and wife Bertie; his children Kathy Boyer of Pearland, Keith Morgan of Tontitown, Arkansas, Craig Morgan and wife Rhonda of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and David Morgan and wife Shirley of Carrollton; his twelve grandchildren; his twelve great-grandchildren; his five great-great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law Carolyn Hinchliffe; his numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; and a host of other loving relatives and friends; and his favorite fur-baby, Angel, who was his 4-pound Shih Tzu guard dog!

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Keith Morgan, Craig Morgan, David Morgan, Trey Boyer, Cody Boyer, Kevin Morgan, Brian Calef and Nick Morgan.

At the family’s request the funeral service will be casual attire, please no suits!

A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A graveside service will occur Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Grand View Memorial Park, 8516 Spencer Hwy, Deer Park, TX 77536.
