Irma & I shared many special moments and conversations about family, life and girl stuff!  Our family sends our most deepest & heartfelt condolences to Teri, Carolyn, Drew, Joshua, and her extended family.  She’s in Heaven walking the streets of gold with Our Lord & Savior!  We’ll meet again, my friend.   Amen.  

I am missing my cousin Irma. She always had a smile for everyone.  Loved unconditionally and forgave those who were unkind.  Thinking of her.

My dear cousin Irma was a wonderful person. She always had a beautiful smile whenever you visited with her. In 2019 March before Covid closed everything down, my sister Janie and I paid Irma a visit. We invited her to breakfast and asked her where she wanted to go. Her choice,  with a big smile was Dennys for pancakes and coffee. We visited for a while and we’re glad my sister Janie got to see her after many years if living in Lawrenceville, GA. Janie died of COVID that year in November. I will miss you my dear cousin. So happy to have visited a couple of days before you went to Heaven.

It was so nice to have Irma and Jim as neighbors,  they were also a big instrument to move ahead in my carrier, Irma was a person that always try to help you with a smile on her face.  Lately After many years we got together for a brunch and like always I felt such a warm feeling when we hugged.  She was a delight company and  like always willing to help.  I will always remember, love and cherish Irma and her whole family.
She will be missed by her whole family and friends.   May the Lord give her family the strength to go through this lost.  RIP

I met Irma once when she visited Terri in Georgia. I did not know her well. But I know both Irma and James live on in Terri who embodies the best of each of them.  Sending prayers, love, and hugs to Terri, Drew, and Josh. May your memories of Irma bring you comfort in this time of sadness and loss. And may you cherish and celebrate those memories in happier times to come. Rest in peace, dear irma.

Irma was an amazing woman who made my life better. She was fun  and engaging. I loved to hear her laugh. I worked with Irma for many years and I found great joy in her stories. I would get as excited as she did when she talked about her next gambling expedition. She was a hoot. May perpetual light shine upon her always. You be missed but never forgotten Irma. 

My mom is gone. I am beyond devastated by this loss but I am thankful that her passing was on her terms. I am thankful I was able to do for her in the 9 days it took to take her a fraction of what she did for me our entire life together. What I hope is that I am as strong as she was in the end. I will never stop missing her but I know she is at peace. Love and miss you forever, mom. 😘💕😞

I met Irma while we were in High School(1955 or 1956) and she was a very friendly person.  After the football games, we would attend the Sock Hops and she really loved to dance.  Since she was such a good dancer, boys asked her to dance.  She was baby sitter to her younger brother and helped her Mom(Lupe) by keeping the house clean.  She was an awesome young friendly girl, but I got married and she joined the military so we lost touch of each other. The last time that I saw her was about 5 years ago.  Wish we had stayed in touch.  I am so sorry for your lost. 

Irma Vair was the kind of grandma who had a whole play room for her two grandkids, Josh & I. As reserved as Grandma was she was fearless with her grandkids teaching us to live our lives as RESPONSIBLE evil knievels. She was the grandma who put baby powder on the slides so Josh and I could go faster and slam into the wall. She let sus destroy her living room placing couch cushions as obstacles. She even taught me how to use a push mower and mow the grass in college.

My favorite thing about Grandma though was that she was nurturing. Always with a smile and a huge greeting. Every plate of food perfect and made with love. Every cut and scrape earned in the backyard was met with some “monkeys blood” and a big hug. Barbie ornaments gifted to me every year, so many I could  have about 10 trees. Even as an adult every picture of post on social media was shared 100 times by her. I never went a second thinking I was unloved. 

I hit the jackpot on grandmas and for that I am fortunate. I hope she’s gambling and has as much butter and bread as she wants in heaven because she sure does deserve it.

Irma was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawrence Vair, Sr. and her son, James Lawrence Vair Jr. Also left to cherish her memory are several nieces, nephew, friends and other family members.
