Guadalupe Valencia

Guadalupe Valencia, 81 , peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven on November 29, 2019. Guadalupe was born on November 3, 1938 in Temple, Texas to Pedro Sr. and Margarita Valerio. Guadalupe was preceded in death by Elias Valencia, her spouse of 57 years.

Guadalupe is survived by her son, Richard Valencia (Rhonda), Daughters Christina Walsh (Chuck) and Felicia Ruiz.

Grandchildren Derik, Zackary (Rebekah), Aeriel, Sydney, Cassandra, Javier and Alexis. Great grandchildren, Addison, Mackenzie, Dallas, Ryann and Aundrea. Sisters, Dolores Tovar and Mary Ann Hernandez and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

Guadalupe was from a large family with 10 siblings (7 brothers and 3 sisters). Guadalupe put herself through beauty school and was able to own her own beauty shop for over 40 years and had been a hair stylist for more than 50 years. Some of Guadalupe’s passions were fixing hair, cooking, baking, dancing, antique shopping, collecting dolls, telling stories, playing slot machines, listening to music and just enjoying precious time with family and friends. Guadalupe was a blessing to so many people. Guadalupe was a woman of faith and lived a life of helping others in any way she could.

The family will have a Celebration of Life for Guadalupe at Grand View Funeral home on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 5pm-8pm (Rosary @ 6pm). Friday, December 6, 2019 10am @ St Hyacinth Church. Committal Service @ 11:30am Grand View Cemetery.
