Gerald Clayton Morris was born on August 12, 1941 in Verbena, Alabama to Robert M. Morris Jr. and Flossie Louise Smith. He went home to be with our Lord on November 30, 2011 at his home in Pasadena, Texas. He was a loving and caring dad, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a retired peace officer with a lengthy career in law enforcement with several local agencies. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Louise and his Father. He is survived by his sister, Virginia Thornton, his daughter, Toni Koonce and husband Richard, his son, Todd Morris and wife Lorri, his son, John “Brett” Morris and wife Elinora “Elly”, and his son Clay Morris; grandchildren, Ross “Duncan” and Collin Koonce; Ty, Masen, Hunter and Deacon Morris; Karley and Nicholas Morris; and Sarah and Caleb Morris; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends whom he loved. The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 5th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Grandview Funeral Home followed by a service of remembrance from 3pm to 4pm. No graveside services will be conducted.
