Fred Young Jr.

Fred was the retired owner of Southwestern Tile and Carpet in Pasadena, Texas. He was a loyal fan of the Houston Astros and loved watching NASCAR "round and round" on his back patio (Papa's Palapas) with his family. Fred found pleasure in the simple things in life like traveling in his RV, spending time up at the lake, classic cars, and listening to old country music. He was a jack of all trades. He could build and fix just about anything. However, nothing compared to being with the love of his life, Priscilla and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his loving wife Priscilla Faye Young, parents Fred Carl Young Sr. and Gladys Tucker Young, daughter Mitzi Michelle Young, son Fred Carl Young III, and sisters Elouise Borden, Evelyn Stone, Ruth Thomas, and Barbara Hubbard.

Left to cherish Fred’s memory are his children Faron Dewayne Young (Shelly), Farrah Rochelle Young (Jonathan), and Bryan Charles Young (Kacie), Lynda Marie Shaw (Curtis), Susan Lynn Ervin (Keith), Julie Ann Schwemer, and Stephanie Jill Leder and sister Melba Dickinson. Grandchildren: Curtis James, Fred Brandon, Matthew, Katy, Alexis, Blake, Trent, Trever, Ethan, Haleigh, Madison, Tucker, Hannah, and Andrew Carl; he also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, nine great-grandchildren and extended family members.
