Debra Rae Taylor, 59, of La Porte, TX passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018. She was born in Pasadena, TX on April 8, 1959 to Donnie Ray Taylor and Barbara June Hanson. She was married to David Wayne Schoolcraft for 38 years. Debbie worked for the United States Postal Service-Pasadena Branch, was a manager with All Pro Electric and has been the proprietor for the past 21 years of Sam and Dave’s Bar in La Porte, TX. She had a passion for cooking, music, football, news and black jack.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donnie Taylor; grandparents, Charlie and Sadie Sanderson and Freeda Taylor. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Champion; son, Samuel Schoolcraft; husband, David Schoolcraft; grandson, Van; sister, Lisa Balmer and husband Steve; dog, Camper; numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. Debbie’s Celebration of Life will follow on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Entombment at Grand View Memorial Park.
