It would be wrong to say that Barbara actually lost her battle to these things, because she never once stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined to live. At times, when anyone else would have broken, Barbara persisted.
Through her, we know what strength and perseverance truly look like. There was absolutely no quit in Barbara, so just because she is no longer here doesn’t mean she lost her fight.
Barbara was a devoted mother and Nana. Her five grandchildren understood that devotion more than anyone. She was always creating gifts for them on her sewing machine or with her incredible embroidery skills. Those gifts will be even more precious to them now.
While Barbara remained active in her retirement, the unexpected loss of her husband Chuck seven years ago was a blow. Her family grieved her loss with her, but they take comfort knowing that Barbara and Chuck are together again.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son Randall, her husband Chuck, her father Barney, and her mother Ruby.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Robyn and her husband Kelly as well as her son Russell and his wife Sheila. Her granddaughters McKenzie, Kylie, and Grayson, her grandsons Travis and Garett, and her great-grandchildren Scotty and Liam also survived her. Also, surviving her are her siblings Barney, Peggy, and Jerry.
“Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed and held so dear.” -Unknown
