Alma Jean Jackson

Alma Jean Favors Jackson, 83, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away at Bayshore Medical Center August 27, 2017. She was born in Genoa, Arkansas to Ruth Purifoy and Clifford Favors on May 4, 1934. She worked for PISD at South Houston High School cafeteria until she retired after 23 years of service. She spent her free time going to her second home, Bland Lake Ranch in San Augustine, Texas. She loved to quilting and spending time with her children and grandchildren and going to her favorite restaurant, Casa Ole.

She is survived by her husband Rufus R. Jackson (Doc) of Pasadena, Texas; son, Gary and wife Teresa; daughters, Brenda Steyer and husband Philip, Pam Nowell and husband B.J., all of Pasadena Texas; grandchildren, Amber Madden and husband Michael, Brandan Wallace, Aubre Limbaugh and husband Blake, and Ashley Brackeen and husband Blake; great grandchildren, Landon Wallace, Mckinley Madden, Olivia Steyer, Kherington Wallace, Mason Madden, Wyatt Limbaugh, and Nathan Limbaugh; and two sisters, Wilbur Dison of Louisiana, and Donna Lolley and husband Sonny of Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Clifford Favors and brothers, Morris Allen, Billy Favors and J.C. Favors.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Wallace, Chris Cox, Mark Chapa, Mark Case, John Galena and Blake Brackeen.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:00am, all at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
