It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on February 22 2021 Joe was taken from us by a very aggressive cancer. He leaves behind Tammy, his loving wife of 38 years, and their three daughters Sara (Ali), Jackie (Colin) and Leah. He will also be sadly missed by his six grandchildren (Olivia, Ellsie, Addison, Lucas, Ben and James) who he adored. Also left to mourn are Joe’s siblings, especially Mike and Penny, who he was very close to, his in-laws Ed and Linda, and countless other relatives and friends.
Joe took pride in his job at Mainroads and enjoyed joking around with the guys at work. He was happiest at home on the farm though, helping with day to day tasks, or working in his shop building what he called “Joevincis” for everyone he loved such as playhouses, garden sheds, sculptures, benches, and many other creations. Joe happily and selflessly filled the role of our “go to guy” for everything that needed doing.
We will try to take your advice our dear husband, dad, brother, uncle and friend and just “smile and nod” but it will not be easy as you will be in our hearts and minds forever and missed more than you could ever know.
