Betty J. Gibson

She loved spending time with her family and friends! One of her favorite pastimes was her flower gardens, she loved talking about, showing and sharing her flowers with anyone that visited her. She would spend hours on the phone talking to her niece, Sandy Rowley. She loved special visits from her niece Darlene Barden.

Betty is survived by 5 children Libby Barnette of Ripley, John Gibson (Brenda) of Given WV, Reta White (Bill) of Michigan, William Darrell Gibson Jr. (spoon)of Parkersburg, Julia Ann Erickson (Scott) of Georgia. 15 very special grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Darrell Gibson, sons Rodney Jay Gibson, Richard Jason Gibson and daughter Jo Ellen Thompson. Son in law Allen Barnette, grandson Matthew Barnette

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday October 20, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the time of the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
