Larry E. Jensen, 79, of La Vista, Nebraska, passed away on December 9, 2022. He was born on January 6, 1943 to J. Everette and Mary (Smith) Jensen in Los Angeles, California. His parents later moved to Gibbon, Nebraska, where he grew up and graduated from Gibbon High School in 1961. After graduation he attended Lincoln School of Commerce and Kearney State College (now known as University of Nebraska-Kearney). He was united in marriage to Barb (Shiers) in 1964 and to this union three children, Colleen, Nancy, and Paula, were born. The two later divorced. Larry then met Patricia Stalder Badberg and they married on June 30, 1978. Larry joined the army in 1962 and served 2 years and then later joined the Nebraska National Guard. Larry worked at Owens & Minor for 26 years, retiring in 2011. Larry enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles, reading books, working with his model trains, and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, J. Everett and Mary (Smith); and sister-in-law Ruth Ann Stalder.
Survived by loving wife, Patricia; children, Colleen (Mike) Selvage, Nancy (Chris) Nelsen, Paula (Tad) Rezek; step-children, Terrie (Walt) Boring, Tim (Missy) Badberg, Troy (Brooke) Badberg; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne (Murray) Bryant and brother-in-law, William (Grace) Stalder; many loving nieces and nephews.
