David is sorely missed by his parents, Kevin McTear, Karen (nee Gray) Nilson and stepdad Ken Nilson, his siblings: Megan McTear Johnson, Andrew Gray McTear, Alyson McTear, and Matt McTear, and his longtime girlfriend, Natalia Sikora. David is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who will miss him immensely.
David was a graduate of Great Valley High School, class of 2013. He was Dave Goldstein’s shop manager and right hand man at Gordon Motor Cars for 10 years. David was also a popular Disc Jockey who entertained at many places in the Delaware Valley. He loved his job with Serenity Designs when he lived down at the shore.
When he wasn’t working, David was happiest when he was surrounded by his family, friends, and his dogs, Beau and Obi. He also loved the beach, boat days, and fresh water fishing. David had a special gift when it came to interacting with people with disabilities, as well as children and the elderly—he flourished while working with them.
David was the type of person to drop everything on a moment’s notice if someone needed him. He had a heart of gold.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to; A Child’s Light at www.childslight.com or To Write Love on Her Arms at www.twloha.com
There was a suggestion from one of Dave's pastors, that we ask, "If you knew Dave, and are so moved, to write a letter to him, as though he was standing in front of you, and bring it to the service. Don't worry, you will not be required to read it aloud. It would be a great help to the family."
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Friday, September 6th at 10:00am from Paoli Presbyterian Church, South Valley Road in Paoli. Visitation will be from 9-10:00am Friday morning in the Church.
