Mitch was the owner of Zachary Financial Consultants along with his daughter.
He has written numerous articles on tax, estate and succession planning issues and has been interviewed by CNN, the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Newsday, Long Island Business News and the Practical Accountant as well as appearing on cable news and local radio programs on these topics. In addition, he has served as a President of the Long Island Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
Mitch also had extensive community involvement in Palm Beach County. He was the Chairman of the Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens.
Mitchell is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Felice Zachary (nee Rubinson); daughter Stephanie Zachary; son Joshua (Ariana) Zachary; mother Sally Zachary (nee Birnberg); sisters, Stacey (Mark) Pizzuto and Susan (Daniel) Soto and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services and Burial for Mitchell will be held 12:00pm, Friday, November 3, 2023 at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412. Shiva will be at his home on Sunday through Wednesday with services at 7pm and visiting hours will be from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 9pm.
Mitchell will be laid to rest in the Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens section of Star of David Cemetery of the Palm Beaches.
