Martha was born and raised in the Bronx, New York to Sylvia and Howard Harris. She later moved to the Lower East Side where she taught elementary school and married Monty, who would become her life partner for 65 years. They had their only daughter, Elisabeth, and eventually moved to Chappaqua NY, where Martha acted as director of the continuing education program for adults in the community. She spent the latter years of her life in both Palm Beach Gardens and NYC enjoying friends, travel, immersion in the arts, photography and spending quality time with her family. She was deeply loved by all who knew her, and will be remembered for her beauty, strength, aesthetic sensibility, intellect, and how she made each person in her life feel special, valued and loved.
She is survived by her husband Monty Davis, daughter Elisabeth Davis, and brother and sister-in-law, Bruce Harris and Dr. Tracy Roth.
