I think of Harvey often. The strangest is every time I go to the driving range, every time, I see Harvey with his unique stretch— his legs are straight and wide apart, he is leaning over at the waist  while holding onto his driver, and leaning down. We started  a custom of having a group of the guys having dinner at the Pub. He would have loved it.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Jordan was my favorite teacher back at Harper School in Wilmette. He brought a warmth and humor to the classroom that I appreciated a great deal. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

Harvey was one of the sweetest men I ever met.  We played golf together for years in MEL.  I good golfer, a good friend, and always with a smile.  We both enjoyed saying that you could never take the Brooklyn out of the kid.   We will all miss him…….

Harvey and I taught together in Wilmette at both Howard Jr High and Wilmette junior high . Putting aside that brash Brooklyn persona he was the most sensitive guy that I have ever met . I always looked forward to having coffee with him at the start of each day . Harvey’s roommate in college was a family friend who recommended National College to me! We shared many memories of college life!  He was the consummate family man who loved his daughters Stacy and Barrie and spoke of them frequently! Lauren was the love of his life and my heart goes out to her!  Rest In Peace Harvey! You will be missed greatly! Jay Kohen

Harvey welcomed me and said that he was happy there were now two of us. He was a warm, friendly and always smiling friend.

We lost a wonderful kind man who gave us so very much joy.  I have so many wonderful memories that I will always cherish. Harvey is the first person I played golf with at IBIS. I was living in Singapore and    put my name on the golf sheet and got paired with Harvey. What a wonderful experience and after 18 holes I felt that we had known each other forever.  Harvey insisted that I always tell him when I would be coming for our annual leave to our home in IBIS and he would arrange golf and dinner dates which he did every year for a number of years.  After I moved to IBIS full time at our weekly Canasta game Harvey would always bring red licorice to me no matter where I was in the card room.
So many great memories shared with a wonderful friend--We will miss but never forget Harvey.

Harvey & I played  basketball in Brooklyn when we were teenagers. We lost touch.
Who could have ever imagined that we would reconnect on a tee box in South Florida 45 years later?   We certainly had a lot to talk about!

Harvey was a pleasure to be around and always looked at the brighter side of life. He had a very uplifting spirit.
Harvey,  you will be truly missed.

Barbara  and I walked into the old clubhouse  in 2008 with the  intention of checking out this place called IBIS.  Walking around aimlessly , not knowing where to go and what to do is when Harvey walked in after a 9 and dine.  First thing he said  was "are you lost'".  He then proceeded to answer all our questions and was the perfect host.  We will never forget our first IBIS experience and Harveys kindness.

Davis and I are terribly sorry for the loss of your wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Harvey was such a loving, kind person. We always enjoyed our dinners together. He was always so funny and so interested in our lives. What a wonderful guy!

Harvey’s sudden and untimely death was devastating to all who knew him. Eileen and I  tried to summarize our feelings about the quality of this wonderful man and why we loved him: if we had to pick one person to be a teacher and mentor to our grandchildren, it would be Harvey. His easy manner; the feeling one had  that when you were with him, he focused just on you; his strong moral code that came  through in everything he did; his quiet manner but when he spoke, people listened; and an undefinable quality that just made him your loyal friend. We will miss him

Harvey was a dear friend who was my favorite person to discuss books with.  We always looked for the book that we considered a home run, one you couldn’t put down and would keep you reading into the late hours of the night.  
We enjoyed playing golf together and playing for 2 dollars that made us kibbutz throughout the game.  Then we would go to lunch.  Harvey would always order steak fries, eat one or two, and then try to get us to go off our diets which we did.  Then he would bring a plate of cookies to the table which we all shared.
He will be missed tremendously.  RIP my friend.
