Susan K. Zavodny

"Sue" was born in Buffalo, New York on May 22nd, 1952. Sue is survived by her second husband, Kevin Hurst of 4 months; sister, Cheryl and brother-in-law, Joseph of New York; sister, Sharon and brother-in-law, Gary of New York; brother, Norman and sister-in-law, Brenda; daughter, Carrie and son-in-law, Aaron; son, Rob and daughter-in-law, Jen; and granddaughters, Brooke and Ashley. Sue was a devoted and loving wife to Robert E. Zavodny for 48 years, until he passed away on December 20th, 2017, at 69 years of age. He was her soul mate and the father of her two children.

Sue attended the State University of New York at Fredonia, was a nutritionist and manager for Weight Loss Clinic. She co-owned one of the largest landscape/snowplow services in Western New York, and she was a partner in providing landscape design and installation services in Florida totaling thirty years. Sue also owned a successful tanning salon/boutique in Florida for four years with her daughter.

Sue loved gardening and landscaping, crossword puzzles, traveling, playing cards, sewing, painting, spending time with her two granddaughters and her son and daughter, camping, attending concerts, Sudoku puzzles, slapstick comedy, decorating, and shopping. She attended both births of her granddaughters and loved them dearly. Sue was always up for an adventure. She had an optimistic outlook on life and her presence and smile will be missed dearly. As she wished, services are private.
