Stanley William Stein, 87 years old, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his home in Palm Bay, Florida. He was the devoted and loving husband of Thelma (Terri) Stein. They shared 65 years of happy marriage together.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Jack and Etta Stein. Stanley attended Manual Training High School in Brooklyn, NY, and graduated from Lowell Technological Institute of Massachusetts (now Univ. of MA). Stanley held several careers, including Retail, a top salesman with IBM for 20+ years, a Tax Accountant/Manager for H&R Block. He most enjoyed teaching, which included being a flight instructor, and later in life as a High School Math Teacher, where he was adored by his students.
Stanley was an active member of the congregation at Temple Beth Shalom, in Ocala, FL, where he resided for 15 years before moving to his final home in Palm Bay, FL. Stanley moved to Oceanside, LI from Brooklyn, then relocated to Boca Raton, FL, then to Ocala, FL, and finally to Palm Bay, FL.
He had many interests during his life such as flying planes, owning race horses, and boating. He was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, and the NY Runners Club, to name a few. Stanley stood out from the pack for his outgoing personality, and great sense of humor. Stanley will live on in the hearts of all he’s touched.
He is survived by his life-long wife and partner, Terri Stein, his 3 children, Rowena Stein and her wife Jeri, Abby Stein, Lenny Stein and his wife Lisa and his Grandchildren, Jack, Eric, Rachel, Emma, Jenna, and Xander, and we cannot forget his beloved dog, Asta, a miniature poodle.
The graveside service will be held Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1:30pm at: Eternal Life Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, FL 33473.
