Will never forget Mike's Corvar van popping wheelies going through the ditch at Eau Gallie speedway. He taught me alot about working on motor cycles.

Mike and I began together in the same maternity ward in New Jersey but it took a long time for us to catch up and meet later on in life. At times we just couldn't believe that. You never know who's going to show up in your life along the way. 
Mike was a big teddy bear to me  and to so many. You couldn't help but not be happy around him. That smile of his was just something else. Everywhere he went he was eager to help somebody. He would always assure you that everything was going to be okay.
He spent his whole life helping others, working, spending time with the kids and grandchildren. He fit in time with the family doing things together especially outdoors.
Mike will be greatly missed by me and many.He was a gentle giant of a man.He was a thoughtful, loving and caring man to all.
I know we will keep him in our hearts everyday. I won't be able to stop thinking about him every time I see a motorcycle or a school bus, not alone other memories. I think we can all stay the same.
May we all be comforted and have peace and know Mike is in Heaven!


Mike was a great guy with a big heart who positively touched the lives of everyone he could. Some of my earliest memories were at his parents Fran and Dee's house back in early 80's while a kid playing in the yard and kiddie pool with his son Jeremy and Jeremy's cousin Jason. I have always considered Jeremy my brother and Mike a father figure in my life.

He worked a lot like many of us but there have been several times through the years he has helped my family and more recently myself and he was always someone I could turn to for advice. He was married to my mother Debbie Montrose now Debbie Wing at one time they remained great friends. He was also a good friend of my father Thomas L. Greenhill (Motorcycle buddies) etc. along with I believe Mike's brother Pat. 

My father as people knew him back then got involved in some bad things and as he lay dying in the hospital in 2004 South Carolina Mike was talking to him on the phone and talking about going up there to see him when no other family would or could. 

I was over one thousand miles away and could not make the trip, but Mike was willing to drive a few hundred miles to say goodbye to a friend. He never got to make that trip my father passed before he could, but it is the thought that counts RIP Mike you will be missed by all lucky enough to know you and have you in their lives.


Mike has always been a life long friend. I will definitely miss him and the people that called him a nerd should probably grow up. Love you Michael Francis Sorum.  Your friend 😎...Evy.

Mike you were one of God's special persons, always there with a big  smile and hug.  I observed you touching so many lives with your thoughtfulness and kindness in the many years I have known you. 
Your absence is already felt in many ways. 

I can remember the dinner we shared at my house the stories we shared that beautiful smile you always had we will miss and love you always my friend RIP fly high

You are not just my cousin, but my lifelong best friend. As you said we are connected at the soul, not just at the heart.  I am holding you to that. We had moments of separation, but every  time we got back together, it was as if we were never apart. We picked up conversations and memeories like it was yesterday.  The next family reunion is in Heaven, I know you will be there, and I will try my hardest to join you.  Give my Mom a hug from me, along with everyone else! P.S. Remember the time we were just barely teens and you got us in trouble on the helicopter ride at Como Park? Ha ha ha! How about the UFO's?  You asked me about that just last year. That was crazy huh? Duluth will always be part of you, your Dad and I. It was our special place! Love you Mikie! You are my compass!
