Wilhemina Maria Rempt. She lived through World War 2 in the South Pacific. During the
occupation, she met her future husband Jacob vanSpronsen who was stationed with the
Dutch Army in Indonesia. They were later married in Holland where she subsequently
received her nursing degree. She worked as a registered nurse for over 50 years both in
Holland and in Indianapolis, Indiana after she and Jacob emigrated to the United States in
1960. Jacob passed away in 1969, and in 1980, Joyce made a permanent move to Florida.
She married Edward M. Herring in 1996, moved with him to Buena Vida Estates in Melbourne
in 2010, and has continued to live there since Edward's death in 2016. She is survived by her
son Pieter A. vanSpronsen and her daughter A. Christine vanSpronsen, her daughter-in-law
Adair vanSpronsen, granddaughters Melissa vanSpronsen-Morrow and Sara Bess
vanSpronsen, grandson Pieter Jacob vanSpronsen, and five great grandchildren
