Born in Stockton, California, Roger was raised from childhood into early adulthood in Beverly Hills. He graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1960, spent one year at Menlo College and graduated from Stanford University in 1964 with a degree in History. He married the love of his life, Linda, May, 27th 1967 at St. Mary’s Church in Alexandria, VA.
Roger enjoyed a successful career in the Stock and Municipal Bond business that lasted over 40 years. He had many hobbies including golf, fishing, travel and most importantly, his family.
Roger was predeceased by his parents, Elaine and Hank Rhoads, his brother, Ron, and his wife, Linda. He is survived by his daughters, Amy (Jeff) Fara and Kristin (Chris) Clinch, his brother, Rick (Joan), his sister, Lorraine, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
After suffering a stroke, Roger passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was the most kind, gentle and generous man and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life reception for Roger will be held May 19th, from 2 -5 pm at The Royal Troon Room, Inn at Spanish Bay, 2700 17 Mile Drive, Pebble Beach.
