Clem was such a generous soul! She always had a smile and a kind word. I will remember her generosity and creativity every year when I put up the snowflakes that she crocheted us for our Christmas tree.

I've sat with this page open for 45 minutes trying to find a way to sum up what Clem is to me, to us. She was not simply the little lady we took care of and was so much more than a family friend. We may not have been related by blood, but she was family in every sense of the word. We laughed, we argued, we created and we shared. Clem was a wealth of knowledge on such a wide variety of things. Any issues I struggled with in life, I would seek counsel from mom...and Clem. She never held back, always let you know exactly how she felt. She would give me pep talks that always ended with..."Give 'em Hell, kid". She would encourage me when I was right, and scold me when I was wrong. And the stories she could tell! This lady had seen it, done it and had pictures to prove it! She loved life. She loved helping others, and she helped more than she realized. I will miss her "innocent" smirk, her brilliant one liners and that laugh of hers. Our Holiday table will always have an honorary spot for our darling Clementine.

I had the priveledge of getting to know Clem during her last few years of life and let me tell you, she was still full of fire and making me laugh every time I was around her. It is a sad loss to have her gone but I know she was able to bring a lot of joy and laughter into many many lives during her long lifetime. She will be missed.

Beautiful Clem.  A friend and mentor when I began my career in education.  I will always remember the wonderful bar-b-ques on the deck and the impossible puzzles we did together.  She is now at peace and pain free.  Condolences to her family and friends.

My condolences to Clem's family and friends.  Although I have not had contact with her over the last few years, I appreciated working with her while teaching at El Sausal.  Her beautiful smile; laugh; and love and care for her students made her a special person with which to teach.  Rest well, Clem.

I just heard that Clem passed away. She was a sweet and loving person and I will miss her. I remember visiting Clem when I was much younger and enjoying those visits tremendously. Being an artist, clem had a special room downstairs filled with dried flowers and  ribbons of all kinds and colors. Clem was very kind to me and taught me how to make wreaths etc. I am sad that she has passed away but she was a devout catholic and I am sure she is in a happy place right now.

I am so sorry to receive the news about Clem's passing. Prudencia Garnica and I visited her the last time I was in California and had a terrific visit. Clementine was great to be around and had a belly laugh that let you know she was "in the crowd"!

I especially appreciated how she loved her students. I particularily remember how hard she worked  to keep the "grab bag" full and her students happy.

I am so sorry to hear that Clem has passed away. I remember her as a sweet, kindly lady who loved her students. Its been years since we last talked but I remember how much she loved her daughter, Lore and how sad she was  when Lore died. Now she is in heaven with her daughter. Thats a blessing.

Although Clem was in failing health, we are, nevertheless shocked and saddened at her sudden passing. She and I worked side by side for many years and had many wonderful and hilarious moments. Clem had a terrific sense of humor and one could hear her raucous laughter "a mile away"! She was an amazing artist and I cherish her painting of San Juan Bautisa mission...Proud of her Irish roots, Clem spent lots of time there with her dear friend Vici; painting and soaking up the atmosphere. Rest well, dearest friend. I miss you.
