Born on February 18, 1940, in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Baldo’s journey to the United States began in 1967 when he came to visit his Aunt, Giovanna, and Uncle, Sal. It was during this visit that he met the love of his life, his wife of 57 years. Their union was one filled with devotion, love, and deep commitment, and together, they built a beautiful family.
Baldo was known for his immense kindness, warmth, and dedication to those he loved. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always putting family first. He worked tirelessly throughout his life, making meaningful contributions in a variety of roles, including his work at Mission Linen, Pebble Beach Company, and Quail Lodge Golf Course. However, his true passion was his work at Grocery Outlet Marina, a job that he cherished more as a hobby than a career. Baldo loved to talk and was always eager to strike up a conversation with anyone who passed by. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in others made him a beloved figure in his neighborhood and community.
Baldo will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Baldo. You will forever be in our hearts.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Richard King and the Hospice care team for their compassionate and dedicated care of Baldo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care of Monterey, CA, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Baldo.
A Funeral Mass for Baldo will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Angela Merici Church, 362 Lighthouse Ave, Pacific Grove, CA 93950.
