After 13 years in teaching at Father Urios College, “Ben” as fondly called moved back to Manila and worked as a comptroller at San Miguel Brewery in Tondo Manila. He also ventures in furniture making and has his own tailoring company making ready to wear (RTW) clothing at Abad Santos, Manila.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Cursillo, and Lion’s Club of Manila. Ben retired and migrated in the United States in 1991 where he spent most of his time travelling, dressing well attending dinner dance, and an active community volunteer. Ben is kind, generous and loved by many of his peers at Arroyo Grande Senior Apartment. He is a good conversationalist and a good singer. He spent his last months in Arroyo Grande and moved back to Oxnard in his final days. He passed away surrounded by his children and Gener Bunggay who took good care of him all throughout his stay at Arroyo Grande, and especially during his last few days.
Ben will be greatly missed. Eternal Rest grant unto Benjamin, O, Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone who offers their prayers and sent their condolences during this difficult time.
