Born in Virginia Beach, Kayla Renee Clark passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 23, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and joy.
Kayla was a vibrant and compassionate soul who brought light wherever she went. A devoted follower of Christ, she found peace and strength in her faith, often filling her days with uplifting Christian music and worship. In the weeks leading up to her passing, Kayla was joyfully preparing to be baptized on April 27th—a reflection of her renewed commitment to her walk with God. Though she did not make it to that day, her heart was fully turned toward Him, and her spiritual journey was deeply meaningful.
Isaiah 57:1–2 reminds us:
“The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart... the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.”
We believe Kayla has been lovingly gathered into that peace—a gentle and merciful embrace by her Savior, who saw the purity of her intent and welcomed her home.
Kayla had a deep love for animals—especially frogs and dogs. Some of her favorite moments were spent in the backyard, excitedly discovering frogs and laughing as she played fetch with her two beloved dogs, Harley and Sam. Her gentle spirit and joyful heart brought comfort and happiness to all who knew her.
Music was woven into the fabric of Kayla’s life. In high school, she proudly played the clarinet, oboe, and alto saxophone in band, rarely able to sit still while playing—her energy always bursting through. That same love for music remained with her throughout her life. In her final days, she often listened to Christian songs, singing along, dancing, and praising God with a joyful heart. She shared videos of these sacred, spontaneous moments—offering glimpses of her spirit fully alive in worship. It was through music that she expressed her deepest emotions and most profound faith.
As a dedicated dental assistant, Kayla took great pride in helping others feel confident and joyful in their smiles. Her warmth and genuine care made every patient feel seen and valued.
Kayla is lovingly survived by her parents, Chuck and Melissa Clark, who have been married since 1998; and her beloved siblings Amber (20), Sarah (16), and Tyler (14). She was a treasured daughter, sister, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on May 17th at 4:00 p.m. at River Run Church, 141 River Run Point, Chuluota, FL 32766, and will be led by Pastor Hector of Journey Church.
Following the service, a Celebration of Life and reception will be held at American Legion Post 242, 17142 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32833.
Though her time with us was far too short, Kayla’s love, laughter, music, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
