Patrick Roy

Il était le fils de Jocelyne Boisvenue et de Denis Roy ainsi que le beau-fils de Kelly Bracken. Il laisse dans le deuil ses frères ; Martin Roy (Morgan Whitney) et Bailey Bracken (Kyra Bracken) ainsi que sa sœur Lily Danika Roy. Il manquera grandement à ses grands-parents ; Lillian Roy (feu Jean-Louis Roy), Deana et Gary Ginn, Denise Quesnel (feu Jean-Guy Desjardins) et André Quesnel (Sylvie Riverain). Il laisse également sa nièce Ellie Roy et plusieurs autres tantes, oncles, cousins, amis et proches.

La famille désire remercier l’équipe des soins intensifs de l’Hôpital Queensway Carleton pour leurs bons soins prodigués. Nous remercions plus particulièrement; les docteurs Maggie et Samira, les infirmières Ashley, Anna et Keara et les inhalothérapeutes : Sarah, Matt et Alan. Nous désirons aussi remercier Erica et Paul du Réseau Trillium pour le don de vie.

La famille recevra vos condoléances lors du samedi 9 septembre 2023 de 12h et une célébration de la vie aura lieu à 13h à la Maison Funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier (180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa, Ontario).

Des dons fait à la mémoire de Patrick auprès du Centre de Gestion du Sevrage d’Ottawa ou de la Maison Fraternité seraient grandement appréciés.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Roy. He left us at the young age of 33 on August 16th, 2023.

He was the son of Jocelyne Boisvenue and of Denis Roy and was Kelly Bracken’s stepson. He leaves in mourning his brothers: Martin Roy (Morgan Whitney) and Bailey Bracken (Kyra Bracken) as well as his sister Lily Danika Roy. He will be greatly missed by his grandparents: Lillian Roy (the late Jean-Louis Roy), Deana and Gary Ginn, Denise Quesnel (the late Jean-Guy Desjardins) and André Quesnel (Sylvie Riverain). He also leaves his niece Ellie Roy as well as a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends.

We would like to thank the amazing medical staff in the Intensive Care Unit at the Queensway Carleton Hospital whom diligently cared for Patrick. Special thanks goes out to Doctors: Maggie and Samira, Nurses: Ashley, Anna and Keara as well as the Respiratory Technicians: Matt and Alan.

We would also like to thank Erica and Paul from Trillium Gift of Life Network.

We will be receiving condolences at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal road, Ottawa, Ontario) on Saturday September 9th at 12PM and a Celebration of life, in honor of Patrick, will follow at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ottawa Withdrawal Management Centre or the Maison Fraternité, would be greatly appreciated.
